IKEA IS NOT A HAPPY PLACE!!!

Spent as little time there as possible yesterday to get a few little bits and pieces for the new house, which I will randomly display over the next few days because I am proud of my purchases.

But seriously - it's not a happy place to be, there are too many confused people wandering around trying to figure out what they need and too many children - it's scary, especially when JP is waiting in a bay for you to pull in and load and another car decides that they'll just run her over instead! and then have the audacity to have a go at you and tell you that you are rude when you park them in.
.

I hope it is some years before I need to go there again....

Empty Threats

So I finally cracked it with all the dishes still in the kitchen so took the most mouldy cup, smashed it as you can see here and sent it around via email for another warning that the other glasses and mugs will find the same fate.

Apparently I rattled a few cages and upset a few people, but for goodness sake, most people laughed and agree with me that it's disgusting and not to be tolerated.

.

Nobody wants to be preparing food where things are growing in other peoples mugs!

.

They are going in the bin tonight.

Perceptive Househunting

Saw these while out house hunting again.

It's amazing how much you notice everything else around you when you have 15 minutes to try and notice everything about a flat to see if you could cope with living there.

This mirror, I have walked past numerous times over the past few months and walk past it at least once a week and have never noticed it before!

AO'B and I think we might put it above our house to ensure that only the suitable types feel they can live up to the expectations and therefore are welcome in our house!

This wire is an abstract piece of random art in the courtyard at the places we looked at and are hoping to move into.

Inner city living, they'll do anything to make it look aesthetic and too cool for school

Can everyone please keep their fingers crossed that we get the house we want because I don't want to look anymore!!!

I DON'T DO DISHES!!

This is the disgusting state of the kitchen at work - and I'm refusing to do other peoples dishes.

This mainly for the fact that I'll be so angry at having to do it that I will probably smash the glasses and end up with more stitches!

(yes I'm well aware I'm stupid!).

.

I just don't understand how hard it is for other people to clean up after themselves, seriously if I can do it - so can everyone else, I've even sorted out a lazy way of doing it!

.

These people just need to be glassed!!

Sports Fanatics

I came to the sad realisation that fanatic for fans doesn't just mean their attendance at games, it also means the care of their sports oval, the pristine lights, to the perfect lines in the ground.....

I spent yesterday with Aims in Torquay, doing a lot of pottering around.

Was such a lovely day.

They have done so much to their house, especially considering last time I got to visit DT was helping knock out a wall!

These are the stones that are around their feature fireplace.

I really like the textures and colours, it looks really good - the whole house looks great.
